I hope everyone reading this had a wonderful Christmas. Ours was great;lots of food, fun, good company and glad tidings. We did our annual ski/board trip early this year. We went to Brighton and the people who participated had a great/snowy day.Kolten did especially well, earning all his stickers except Black Diamond so he can now officially hang with the big dogs. We are proud of him! It literally snowed at least a foot while they were up there. Beth and I took a really long time to inch our way back down Big Cottonwood Canyon but we made it and did some last minute shopping. We spent quality time with Kaylee and Kolby (and Lily and Dexter) and enjoyed our day too. We spent Christmas Eve here in the valley with Britt and Bobby (and Lily and Dexter) and Christmas Day with Beth and Shane's family. Kids make Christmas so fun!
The highlight of the day was our phone call from Boone. He sounded really good and said he loves where he is right now, the members are so kind to him. We even had "Santa's Elf" call a couple days before Christmas so Boone could get a stocking with some of his favorite things. (think jerky, Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Skittles). He got to talk to us for about 90 minutes. He said he is enjoying his time there, and that he really isn't in any hurry for his last 8 months to be over. So, included here is a recent picture of Boonie and someone he is working with. Alaska is full of characters, this gentleman is no exception. Boone loves the Alaskan scenery, the people, his mission, but the cold- not so much, and he says he doesn't like living in the dark. Let me know how YOUR Christmas was!
